Following this course, the participant should be able to recognize the epidemiology and classify commonly presenting infectious diseases; identify the clinical manifestations, pathogenesis and methods of diagnosing the presenting diseases; and apply the current recommendations of pharmacologic management, referral or follow-up and prevention.
