Positive displacement needleless access connector with a truly flat, swabable surface. One connector solution; great for central and peripheral lines. Clear housing permits complete visualization of fluid path.

The amount of dead space in the MaxPlus is too dangerous for us to use in the hospital. And it's easy to see how blood and otrher fluids get caught in the creases of the slicine middle piece. We definitelt prefer a device with an INternela Fluid Pathway such as the Clave.
Obviously this person hasn't used the Max Plus Clear. The whole concept of the Max Plus Clear is to see if any blood or fluids are in the device. The way the valve works is that it separates to dislodge all the remaining fluids. You can actually see it working. I also wonder if this person actually knows what dead space is? It is a wonderful product and is truely positive pressure unlike the clave.
The Maxplus was directly responsible for lowering our CRBSI rates to the lowest they have ever been. I feel our nurses flush better now, and we also have fewer tracked line occlusions as well. We were using the old blue clave before we switched. Truly awesome. I'm a big fan.

Do you have a product evaluation tool for the Maxplus clear clave?
