Isolation Gloves

Isolation gloves are worn for procedures involving contact with mucous membranes, blood, body fluids. These gloves are non-sterile; however, medical-grade non-sterile isolation gloves are medical devices regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Latex or latex-free gloves are preferred for isolation since vinyl and plastic gloves have been shown to leak viruses.
