Non-medical gloves are general purpose utility gloves that are used for housekeeping procedures (e.g., cleaning and disinfection), or handling contaminated sharps or chemicals. The FDA does not regulate general purpose utility gloves because they are not promoted for medical use. Consult glove manufacturer about the compatibility of glove material with various chemicals.
