InfectionControlSource

Filtration is the primary means of cleaning the air. During filtration, outdoor air passes through two filter beds or banks (with efficiencies of 20%-40% and >90%, respectively) for effective removal of particles 1-5 ?m in diameter. Low-to-medium efficiency filters in the first bank have low resistance to airflow, but this feature allows some small particulates to pass onto heating and air conditioning coils and into the indoor environment. The second filter bank usually consists of high-efficiency filters.
