Fume Hoods

A fume hood is a large scientific apparatus common in laboratories designed to limit a person's exposure to hazardous fumes. The principle is the same for all units; air is drawn in from the front of the cabinet by a fan, and expelled either outside the building, or made safe through filtration before being fed back into the room.
